Back in Jalapao, Taj says that she is glad that Sydney is gone and not her. Joe says that he feels like the odd man out. In the Timbira camp, Coach says that he needs to pray and meditate. He says that he knows that they are going to merge soon. He gives everyone massages. Erinn says that she likes the new Coach. In Jalapao, Joe shows Taj that his leg is infected and swollen from what he thinks is from a bug bite.

Both teams receive a message that says that they will receive a feast. They both receive a ring with a cross in the middle. Later, both teams arrive at a hut and learn that the tribes will merge. They celebrate as they find find food and wine in the hut. They decide to name their new tribe Forza, which means strength in Portuguese. Sierra tells the former of the members of the Jalapao tribe that she was shocked at their last two choices who they kicked out. They return to the Timbira camp and find new supplies.

Later, Coach and JT hang out and fish. Coach says that he feels like he feels like he can trust JT. JT tells Coach that he doesn't think that Taj has the idol. Coach tells JT that he wants to keep their conversations confidential. Later, Coach tells Tyson that he wants to align with Stephen and JT.

The next day, Tyson and JT bond while fishing. Joe and Erinn go to where the immunity idol should be and find that it is missing. Erinn says that she can assume that either Brendan or Sierra has the idol. Jeff brings the tribe to the immunity challenge. He says that each member will hang on a pole and who hangs on the longest will win the immunity idol. Jeff sees that Stephen and Joe are struggling early. Stephen is the first one to drop. Joe starts to shake and is out. Brendan followed by Taj and Erinn get off their pole. JT drops out. Coach casually steps down. Sierra show signs of trouble and crashes down. Erinn tells Tyson not to fall off. Debra drops off giving Tyson the first individual immunity. Jeff sees Joe's leg and tells the medical team to take a look at it. A doctor looks at Joe's leg and assumes that his leg is really infected and is close to the bone. Joe says that he wants to stay in the game. The doctor says that if the infection goes into his blood, he might die.

Back at the camp, the tribe members say that they are afraid something is wrong with Joe. Tyson says that he never liked Sierra. Brendan, Sierra, and Erinn gather and talk about kicking out JT. JT, Stephen and Tyson meet and talk about booting Debra. Stephen tells Taj that he wants to kick out Brenan. Coach meets with JT and tells him that people were talking about voting him off. JT tells Stephen that he thinks that Brendan might play the immunity idol. Stephen says that he wants to kick out either Brendan or Sierra. Later, Jeff meets with the Tribe and tells them that Joe can't continue the game. He says that Joe will be evacuated to the nearest city. He tells the tribe that there will be no tribal council that day.
