Three years ago, Jack and Kate look out to the sea on their rescue boat. Kate says that it will take a while before she gets used to a normal bed. She says that Claire was going to give Aaron up for adoption. Kate tells Jack that she wants to say that Aaron is hers. Kate says that after all of the people that they lost, she doesn't want to lose Aaron too. Jack says that if they are going to be safe, he has to convince everyone that they have to lie. Kate tells Jack that she is with him.

In the present, Kate changes in Sun's room. Kate tells Aaron that she is going out for a meeting. Sun says that they will be just fine. Kate thanks Sun for her help, then leaves. After Kate leaves, Sun receives a package. She opens it and finds that the package contains photos of Linus and Jack. She finds a box of chocolates with a gun hidden inside of it.

Back on the island, Miles gets water for Charlotte who has collapsed with a bloody nose. Sawyer asks what is wrong with her and says that she has been out for ten minutes. Sawyer thinks that Daniel knows what is going on with Charlotte. After Sawyer leaves, Daniel tells Juliet that the time jumps might make Charlotte have something like bad jet lag.

Meanwhile, Kate goes to an office and meets with the attorney Mr. Norton. He asks how he can help her. Kate tells Norton that she will give up the blood sample as long as she can meet his client who wants to know the results. Norton says that she is in no position to make deals and that he has a court order that can compel her to give a blood sample. Norton says that Kate will eventually give the boy to her client.

Locke tells Sawyer that they need to go to the Orchid via a raft. Locke says that he wants to bring back the people who left the island. Locke says that he has to make them come back even if it kills him. Locke asks Sawyer if he wants Kate to come back. Sawyer says that it doesn't matter what he wants. Charlotte wakes up and asks Daniel who he is. Daniel says his name and she remembers. Charlotte says that she is dizzy but she is fine. Sawyer tells the group that they should go to the Orchid.

At the hospital, Jack checks Sayid and sees that he is recovering from being shot by a tranquilizer dart. Sayid tells Jack that he shouldn't trust Linus with Hurley. Jack says that Linus is on their side. Sayid says that Linus is on his own side. A doctor walks in and calls Jack out to the hall to talk. The doctor says that Jack is a liability because he was suspended for drug abuse. Jack gets a call from Hurley. Hurley says that he is in jail and that he did what Sayid said. Linus arrives at the hospital and asks how Sayid is. A male nurse walks in Sayid's room and tells him that he has his meds. The nurse turns away from Sayid, pulls out a tranquilizer gun, turns and tries to shoot Sayid, but Sayid gets out of his bed and attacks the man. Sayid begins to choke the nurse and asks the man who he is working for. The man says that he has an address in his pocket. Sayid shoots the man with two tranquilizer darts, then checks his pocket and finds a small notebook. Jack and Linus walk in the room and ask what happened. Sayid reads the address on the notebook and Jack recognizes it as Kate's address.

Jack calls Kate and asks her where she is. Jack tells her to get Aaron out of her house. Kate says that she is in L.A. with Sun. Kate tells Jack where she is and Jack says that he is on her way. Linus tells Jack to meet with him and Sayid at the marina after he gets Kate.

Back at the island, the group sees a beam of light emanate into the sky. Daniel asks Locke if he knows when they are. Locke says that they need to keep moving. Daniel asks Charlotte how her headache is. Charlotte says that she is better. Miles sees that his nose is bleeding. They hear a woman screaming. Sawyer tells the group that he will investigate. Sawyer sees Kate help Claire deliver her baby. Sawyer watches as Kate holds Aaron. Sawyer hears a buzz and a flash engulfs the island. Sawyer sees that Kate and Claire are now gone. Locke asks Sawyer what happened. Sawyer says that what was there is gone now.
