Victory wakes from a nightmare where she saw Joe climbing a snowy mountain, falling, and breaking his neck. Kirby and Nico wake up to discuss Nico's dislike of Halloween and the two of them going on a trip to Aspen. Kirby thinks the trip will be too expensive, but Nico says she'll pay for the vacation. Wendy wakes up to an empty bed. She calls for Shane then asks her children if they know where their father is. They say he already left for his business trip and Wendy feels bad that he didn't even say goodbye.

The ladies get together and discuss their morning issues. Wendy tells Nico to let Kirby pay for some things from time to time. Wendy is told that she has a right to feel bad, and shouldn't feel clingy for wanting a goodbye kiss. Victory asks what her dream means and Nico suggests it's stress induced. She asks if she should call Joe and Nico and Wendy differ on their response. Wendy then gives Victory her children's Halloween costumes to make and Victory hands the job over to her assistant Maya.

Victory calls Joe and finds out that he's at an indoor climbing wall, practicing for his upcoming trip to the Matterhorn. Victory goes to him and insists that he cancel his trip. She tells him about her dream. Joe tells her that his dad died when he was just a year older than Joe is now and he feels like he needs to fit in as many experiences as possible while he still can. He then tells Victory that it's none of her business since she publicly told him she wanted nothing to do with him. She tells him she still cares about him as a friend and he tells her they are not friends.

Wendy watches Taylor play soccer. She is sitting next to Dennis, the father of Taylor's friend, and the two talk about their plans for Halloween. Wendy asks Dennis if his wife Kate will be joining them and he says no. They make plans to meet later for dinner and trick or treating with the kids. Sal then calls Wendy and tells her that he's excited about the two forming their own production company. They make plans to meet for lunch.

Griffin approaches Nico at work with a successful sports magazine that he is planning to buy. He asks Nico to go with him to talk to the owner and suggests that she may be promoted as the head of several magazines in the future. Nico then returns home and Kirby reiterates his monetary concerns about Aspen. She suggests that she pay for Aspen and he can pay for their next vacation which could be camping or something. Their dinner delivery arrives at the door and Kirby insists on buying. He looks at the bill and starts handing back dishes so he can afford the tip. Nico overhears the transaction, but doesn't interrupt.

Wendy and Dennis put the finishing touches on their children's costumes. Dennis complains that his wife is always working and he never gets to see her. Wendy relates her troubles with her work and Shane's objections. She tells Dennis to talk to his wife because if they stop communicating, they'll just be roommates.

Kirby takes a job as a waiter at a Halloween party. He talks to his co-worker Marie who tells him that the celebrity Clare Mirani will be at the party. She says that Clare is fresh out of rehab and anyone who will be able to get a picture of her drinking will be able to sell the photos for thousands of dollars.

Wendy meets with Sal to discuss their future business venture. He tells her that just before he left the office, Griffin called him in and offered him Wendy's old job. Sal say's he feels terrible about taking it, but Wendy tells him that it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and says he has to take the job. She then goes into the bathroom and cries.

Victory looks over her building designs with Roy and starts to second guess her decision. The building is shaped like an egg to symbolize rebirth, but Victory thinks the design looks stupid. Roy tells her not to worry about it and takes her to a Halloween party. Victory runs into Kirby at the party and he tells her he's trying to earn extra money to pay for a trip to Aspen. Victory tells him to let Nico pay and he says that he doesn't want to feel like a loser. Victory assures him that Nico doesn't see him that way. Clare then walks up and asks where the buffet is. Kirby offers her a drink, but she turns him down. Victory comments that rehab must really work.

Griffin and Nico meet with the sports magazine owner at a party at his mansion. When he's introduced to Nico, he stares at her chest and she instructs him where he can find her eyes. They sit down for drinks and he talks to Griffin about how Sports Illustrated should put out more bathing suit issues. Nico tries to keep the discussion on work, the owner calls Nico uptight. She starts tossing back shots of Tequilla and the owner warms up to her. She tells him to get her more shots and while he's gone, Griffin tells her to wait in the car. She tells him to forget it and she knows how to work with people like him.
