Victory and Joe meet at the new building to discuss construction plans. Joe has hired the most expensive contractor he could and is making orders for high end products. Victory objects to his extravagance and Joe tells her that there are three ways you can have things: good, cheap, or fast. He explains to her that she can only have two of those things, but not all three and he's going for good and fast for her new business.
Victory then leaves for a meeting with a cosmetic distributor. She realizes that Roy had sent her to the wrong address. While she's waiting for him to give her the correct meeting place, she runs into an attractive guy who is in the process of stripping a building and reclaiming the materials. The two talk and he buys her a hot dog. She realizes that the hot dog is all three, good, fast and cheap. She asks the guy if he wants to be her new contractor and he accepts.
Nico is at her office when Megan walks in. She tells her they need to talk. Megan asks Nico for a brown sweater she had given Charles as a gift. She also asks for money to take care of herself and the baby. Nico tells her she'll have to wait for Charles' will to be finalized. Megan says she can't wait and then leaves. Nico calls her lawyer and asks him to get a restraining order against Megan.
Nico returns home and starts crying. Kirby shows up at the door and says he couldn't keep away. He asks what's wrong. She laughs and says she was just cutting onions for soup. She asks him to come in and help. The two enjoy cooking and eating together.
Wendy holds a meeting to discuss the John Lennon movie's progress. She finds out that Noah, the star of the movie, hasn't shown up for rehearsal and everyone suspects that he's back on drugs. Wendy meets Noah at a bar and asks him where he's been. Noah tells her he can't do the movie. Wendy tells him he has to and that she'll get the production delayed for 2 months so he can go through rehab or whatever he needs to get clean. She goes back to work and tells Sal that Noah needs some time to lose weight. He agrees, but only if he can get Noah's medical records for insurance purposes.
Later that night, Victory is hosting a jewelry party and Wendy and Nico come to look at the goods. Nico is loading up on rings saying she has an urge to spend all of Charles' money before his estate gets settled. She then tells them that Kirby came over but nothing happened. She says it was like a first date and she's looking forward to a second one. Victory is happy to hear the news, but Wendy is skeptical.
Back at the new building, Victory finds Joe putting security cameras in to monitor the new workers. Victory gets annoyed. The contractor then asks if Victory wants to accompany him to look at vintage fixtures. He tells her that it would be around midnight and she says yes. They go out and have a friendly chat over doorknobs and chandeliers. Afterward, they go to a restaurant and chat some more.
Nico meets Kirby at a club. He tells her they should leave because it's 'swap night'. It's explained to her that when a guy rings a gong, everyone is supposed to remove a piece of clothing and swap it with someone else. Kirby says they should leave because it probably isn't her scene, but Nico wants to stay since she doesn't really know what her scene is. The two go in and have fun. They sneak out on the roof and make out. The next morning, Kirby tells her about another club they could go to, but Nico says she needs a night off. She tells him that although she spent her youth married to Charles, she gave it up willingly to be with him. She then realizes someone else gave up her youth for Charles as well.
Nico meets with Megan and gives her cash, a good ob-gyn, and a trust fund for the baby. She tells Megan that they have more in common than she had realized. Megan asks for the sweater to remember Charles, and Nico points out that Megan's baby is something she has to remember him. Nico goes home and removes all of Charles' things. She takes the sweater Megan wanted and puts it in a box, then takes off her wedding ring.
Victory tells Nico about the new guy she met. Nico tells her to ask him out and not over-analyze everything. She also tells Nico that Roy has been screwing up a lot lately. Nico asks if he has relationship problems. Victory says it could be possible, but that she doesn't even know if he's dating a man or woman. She only knows that the person's name is Chris.
Victory goes home and watches the security camera to see if she can find any clues that the new guy likes her. Roy comes down the stairs and sees her. He tries to stop her from watching the camera. She sees Roy appear on screen and wash his hair in a bucket. She asks him what's going on and he explains that he was evicted. Victory thinks it's because she's not paying him enough, but he tells her it's because Chris stole all his money and left town. After some time, Roy finally says Chris is a he. Victory tells him she wants to help. The next day, Victory approaches the contractor and awkwardly asks him out. He says yes.
At the office, Noah's wife meets with Wendy and tells her that Noah isn't on drugs. She tells Wendy that he has an inoperable brain tumor and is on chemotherapy. She explains that when the doctors told them he only had a year or so to live, Noah told her that he wanted to be sure he played John Lennon before he died. She got mad at him and now realizes that she's the reason Noah isn't showing up for the movie. She begs Wendy to make sure he can play the part before he dies.
Wendy realizes that Noah's medical records will prevent him from being allowed to work. She researches his condition and finds that he won't show signs of the disease for a few months. She forges his doctor's signature on the medical records and turns them in. Later, she confesses to Sal and tells him he can't tell anyone.
BeeThoughts
The first thought I have is that the clothes swapping thing seems really unsanitary. I don't think I could wear a stranger's sweaty clothes. I'm happy Nico and Kirby are still together. I thought that maybe since Charles was no longer in the picture, their romance wouldn't have been as exciting to them. It was nice of Nico to give Megan all that stuff, but I think that Megan will probably be back for more. Victory seems to have found a decent guy. I think Joe might try to sabotage their relationship, though. I can't believe that Wendy forged the medical records. I think Sal will probably tell. I hope that Noah gets to complete the movie before he dies.
