Reese and Crews meet with Stark at a crime scene and they examine a head sticking out of the lawn. Reese sees that the body is still attached and thinks the victim has been dead for about a day. There are flowers planted all around the head, but his head forms the center of a larger flower. Crews says when you send flowers you're either in love or really sorry and he wonders which one the killer is feeling.
Reese learns the victim's name is Frank Dunlap. Crews sees that he was shot before he was buried. He then looks in the bushes and sees a container of catered food with yesterday's date. Reese and Crews go to the source of the food, the Beverly Hills Cares Food Bank, and meet with Mindy. She says that Frank was dedicated to his work and he happily delivered food to all the patrons, including the crazies. Crews asks if anyone lives near where Frank's head was found and she gives them an address.
Reese and Crews go to the customers' house and a woman named Maude asks if something happened to Frank. A man named Flint walks out and demands his food. The detectives ask when the last time they saw Frank was and Maude says the day before yesterday. They explain that they never leave the house and Frank delivers food to them everyday. Flint then says that if they don't have his food, they need to get out.
Crews updates Tidwell about the case. They realize that a serial killer, Johnny Hazlit, used to leave flowers by his victims and they think that Frank's murder could be a copycat. Reese thinks that Frank may have actually been a saint since he has no record and does such good for the charity. Tidwell says there is only one saint, his mother. Tidwell tells the detectives to keep the case quiet from the press so that there aren't any more copycat crimes.
Reese and Crews go to murder memorabilia museum dedicated to Johnny Hazlit's work. The detectives meet the owners, Squeaky and Tex, who are really into serial killers. Crews ask if they have any murder guns and they say no because they are too expensive. Squeaky explains that most collectors of mass murder memorabilia keep their collections private. The couple is curious about Crews because they've heard about his time in prison. They tell the detectives to feel free to look around, then leave the room.
Reese and Crews examine paperwrk on Johnny Hazlit. They know he is dead, so they think that it could be a copycat serial killer. Reese finds out that Hazlit had a lot of children with different women. They tell Tidwell that Hazlit had 8 wives and 43 children. Tidwell asks Reese if she wants children and she says she doesn't think so. Crews finds out that one of the wives last name is the same as Maude and Flint and the detectives realize Maud and Flint are Hazlit's children. Reese and Crews goes to the house and aim their guns at Flint. Maude says that it looks like they've found out that they were Hazlit's children.
Crews asks Flint and Maude why they didn't mention that they were Hazlit's children. They say that they never talk about it. Flint admits that Frank was easy to talk to and he told him the truth about their father. Reese notices that their home has three bedrooms and asks who sleeps in the third bedroom. Flint says his son Clifton. Crews asks if Clifton knows about their father. An officer who is examining the house finds a knife with dried blood. Flint says he collects things. Maude says she saw her father kill a man once as she and Flint are handcuffed and taken away.
Tidwell tells the detectives that the press is all over the case. Reese and Crews say they didn't say anything, except to Squeaky and Tex. The detectives then go to Clifton and ask if he knows Frank. He says that Frank delivers food to his dad. Reese sees that Clifton's car is unusually clean. Crews says they found guns at the house and Clifton says that his dad never goes out and couldn't have killed anyone. Reese asks if they can take a sample of the car carpet and Clifton says they can't. He says that he was with his girlfriend Mindy when Frank was killed.
Reese talks to Mindy and she says that Clifton and Frank didn't get along. She says that Clifton's dad never goes out. She then says that Clifton was afraid of Frank's sweetness and didn't trust him.
Stark and Tidwell go to Squeaky and Tex and ask if they told people about the case. Tex asks if they have anything from the case they would be willing to sell him. Tidwell and Stark are annoyed then leave.
Crews looks at his conspiracy wall. Ted asks if he is going to talk to Rayborn again and reminds Crews that Bodner said he would go back to jail if he does. Crews asks Ted about his feelings for his dad's fiance. Ted says that he loves her. Crews says he hasn't talked to his dad in twelve years and he isn't going to the wedding.
