A man talks to his daughter over the computer and says she and her mom are rude and thoughtless. He then gets an email. He takes the message to Kevin and Cyrus. He says he got an email from his Uncle Larry who told him he was a Jesus. Cyrus looks at the message and reads that Larry killed his wife so they could be together in Heaven.
Kevin and Cyrus go to Larry's home, but find no one there. Kevin sees a meat freezer. He opens it and finds a body inside. Larry then walks in and the detectives are surprised to see he is alive. He says he never sent his nephew an email. He then sees the body in his freezer and cries out to God.
Kevin tells Larry not to worry because the rapture didn't happen. Larry says the emails were only supposed to go out after the rapture. Anita and Cyrus watch the interview. Cyrus tells Anita that Larry believes Jesus will get him out of jail. The detectives then go to a website that stores emails people want to send to their loved ones after the rapture takes them. They see that the people who run the website say they have the site set to send emails if they don't log on for two consecutive days.
Kevin and Cyrus go to interview Sam, one of the owners of the website. They walk into his apartment and find him dead. Cyrus sees he was killed by a gunshot wound and has bruises. They see signs of struggle, but no forced entry. They figure he was beaten and killed by unhappy customers.
They then bring in another owner of the website. He says he thought he was left out of the rapture. He says Keith, the third owner, was in Colorado and lost his internet. He says only two of the three had to log in to prevent the emails from going out. He says Sam truly believed in the coming of the rapture. The detectives ask if Sam had another source of income. He says that the website didn't make much money and Sam was pretty much broke. He says he heard that Sam got into a fight with someone at Rapture-con.
Kevin and Cyrus go to the Rapture-convention. They learn Sam had a booth there. The detectives review security footage of Sam fighting with another man. They get a still image of the man and decide to ask the crowd if they know the man. They find a man named Nathan who saw the fight. He says the other man was a visitor named Corliss. He says he knew Sam. He explains that he is a reverend who helps Jews get back to Israel. He says Sam made a donation of $100,000 to his cause.
The detectives look through Sam's computer files and see a member named Steve Corliss. They read the emails that were sent and see that one of them instructed Steve's brother Evan to retrieve gold coins worth $100,000. The detectives figure Sam read the email and believed he could put the money to a better use than Steve's sinner brother.
Kevin and Cyrus update Anita. Kevin tells her that Evan served time in jail. They learn that he called a gold broker the day of the fight. Kevin and Cyrus go to the gold broker and show him a picture of Evan. He says the man came in with some gold and said he would be back with more. The detectives wait in their car and see Evan going back to the broker. They arrest him and bring him to the station.
Evan says he didn't kill anyone. He admits that he followed Sam home and got him to hand over some of the coins. He says Sam told him that he gave away the rest. Evan says he told Sam to give him back the coins or else.
Kevin and Cyrus go back to Nathan. He says he never saw Sam after the rapture-con. Nathan introduces the detectives to his business partner George Duffy. The detectives ask if Sam asked for his donation back. The men say no, Sam only asked where his donation was being sent and they told him to pay a tax to the Uzbekistan government.
Kevin and Cyrus go to the airline and learn that Sam asked to have his taxes refunded. The Uzbekistan consulate tells the detectives that there is no tax. The detectives realize the reverend lies to donors about a tax, then pockets the money for himself. They tell Anita about the information. She reads that the reverend's partner is ex-military. Kevin and Cyrus go to George's hotel and follow him as he gets into a cab. George gets out of the cab and goes into an Iranian mission. The detectives are told they can't enter the mission. Anita and the detectives tell the mission that they are harboring a murder suspect.
