The interns all say different names, angering the doctors. Bailey suggests that they just use the Secret and will their name to be called. Lexie then runs in and says that Webber told her who the next surgeon is and points to who he said.

Webber gathers the doctors and tells them that the person chosen for the solo surgery is purely based on trust. He says that everyone picked Dr. Yang, but since she is out of the running she will be the one to pick the next surgeon. He adds that since Yang's interns are banned too, Yang will pick a second doctor to assist.

The doctors all try to flatter Cristina to gain her favor. She tells them all to leave her alone while she thinks about it. George and Alex talk to Izzy, but when she replies she also adds comments to Denny who is still haunting her.

Lexie goes to Sloan and tells him that she would like to learn. She makes a joke about sex and Sloan becomes angry. He says that he is her superior and she says she just wants to learn medicine, the sex was just a joke.

Lexie, Bailey and Sloan meet with their patient who needs a new voice box. Sloan tells the patient's husband what will be happening with the procedure. He asks if there are any questions and the patient holds up a post it note that says No.

Two sisters are brought in to the hospital and they are fighting loudly. The younger sister, Emma, tells on the older sister, Holly, for crashing a car when she wasn't even supposed to be driving. Callie tries to call their parents while the girls continue to fight.

George tells Cristina he's grown a lot since he started. He tells her that is the key to why he is the best choice for the surgery. Cristina says thank you and continues brushing her teeth.

Callie and Meredith attend to the girls. Alex walks in and looks at the Holly's eyes. He thinks that she may have a skull fracture. They take her away and Emma says she hopes she dies.

Derek and Sloan see that Holly is crashing. Emma sees Holly is in trouble and asks what the doctors did to her. Meredith tells Emma that Holly is going into surgery. Emma is upset that the last thing she said to her sister was she hoped she died. Meredith tells her she will get an update for her.

The doctors have Holly's skull opened up and she starts to crash. He brain changes color and they wonder what went wrong. Holly dies and Dixon explains that there was nothing they could have done. Dixon says that since Holly was young, she will make an excellent candidate for organ donation.

Callie goes to Sloan, concerned about the signals that she received from Sadie. He asks if there were other signs and Callie realizes she made up the affection. He yells at her, saying she should not sleep with the interns. Later, Sadie tells Callie her necklace is beautiful. Callie says thanks then leaves.

Lexie looks over Sloan's shoulder and asks what he is working on. He yells at her for being in his space. Bailey tells Lexie to go do something else.

Sadie goes to Lexie in the observation room and says that she's not sorry about what they did. Sadie says that it was a good way to learn. She says that the doctors that are supposed to teach them only to care about sex. Lexie says that Sloan taught her medicine earlier and it wasn't about sex. Sadie says that she's seen how Sloan looks at her and can tell that he has a crush on her.

Bailey assists Sloan with the voice box surgery. Bailey tells Sloan how impressed she is with him. Afterward, Sloan asks his patient, Mrs. Anderson, to try to talk. She goes for her post it notes and her husband stands up and yells no. He begs her to talk to him and the doctors give them some privacy.

Izzie approaches Cristina and asks if she's ever had mind blowing sex. She explains that she is currently having the best sex she has ever had. She also says that she knows Cristina will give the surgery to Meredith and even though she is corrupt for doing so, she doesn't care because she is having great sex.

Sadie tells Webber that it was her fault. Webber tells her to stop worrying about who's fault it was and figure out how to make up for it.

Dixon tells Cristina that it's not fair that people are dying and Holly's organs could save them. Cristina leaves and goes to the surgery board. She grabs a marker and as all the doctors look on, she writes Karev. Meredith tells him congratulations. Webber tells Cristina she made an interesting choice and Cristina says he made the best case.

Alex goes to Izzie and tells her that he won the surgery. He then tells her that he loves her. He explains that he went to find her to tell her the good news and she wasn't there. He says that she is never there and he thinks that she might love him too. He tells her that he understands what she went through with Denny, but he thinks that she makes him want to be better and he thinks he can be better with her. He tells her she can be scared, but she should be scared with him. He asks her to join him with his first solo surgery. Alex kisses her and leaves. Denny tells Izzie that he doesn't like that guy.

Emma tells Meredith that she didn't really mean what she said to Holly. Meredith tells Emma to tell Holly now what she wanted to say. Emma tells Holly that she's sorry and she loves her. Meredith says that Holly loves her too, no matter what may have been said. Emma's parents console her as she cries.

Meredith tells Derek that he was right about her and Cristina fighting. He tells her to go to Cristina and work things out. He tells Meredith that he is sick of losing patients and Meredith says she is sorry.

Lexie goes to her patient and tells her that it's just the two of them so she should try to talk. If it doesn't work, no one else is around so it won't matter. The patient starts to say hi. Her husband walks in and hears his wife. He tearfully says hi back and they hug.

Webber asks Dixon if she thinks she may have a future at the hospital. Dixon asks if he was trying to torture Yang and Webber says yes. She tells him to have the board make her a better offer.

Meredith goes to Cristina and says that she knows she didn't chose her because she was mad at her. Cristina gets annoyed and says she gave the job to Alex because he was better suited. She says that she can separate her job from her personal life unlike Meredith. Cristina then stands up and yells at all the doctors saying she deserved the solo surgery more than all of them, then leaves. George tells Meredith that he is worried about Izzie. Meredith then gets a page from Alex.

Meredith goes to Alex who is freaking out because he told Izzie he loved her and she hasn't shown up for the surgery. Meredith tells him to stop freaking out because he needs to be focused for the patient. Webber walks in and asks if Alex is ready. Alex doesn't say anything, then Izzie walks in and says he's ready.

Hunt takes Cristina to the boiler room and stands her over a grate. A rush of air blows up and Cristina is totally amused. He tells her that it will clear her head and they kiss.

Lexie goes to Sloan's house and tells him that he made Mrs. Anderson speak. She tells him that she respects him and asks him to teach her. He tells her to stop, but she presses on. She starts taking off her clothes and keeps asking him to teach her. She asks if she's really that bad. He says no and kisses her, then they make love.

BeeThoughts

I know that Sloan is a lot older than Lexie, but I think they make a really good couple. Sloan is a much better match for her than George. I'm sure Meredith is going to freak out when she finds out about Lexie and Sloan. I loved when Cristina snapped at Meredith for being so self-obsessed. It was really awful for her to tell Cristina that the only reason she would have given the surgery to Alex instead of her is because she was mad at her. I'm glad Cristina picked Alex. He really was the only one who seemed to care about the actual procedure. I'm not sure, though, that it was the best choice for him to ask Izzie to join him. I would think she would be a bit of a distraction, especially after his professed love for her. I'm getting a little annoyed with Denny's ghost. Although I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the only ghost I want to see him play is John Winchester on Supernatural.
