Week 5: April 1

- The fifth episode of America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 aired tonight. Read the recap and review to find out what happened and who was eliminated.

Celia tells the rest of the contestants that she knows she stirred up drama by throwing Tahlia under the bus, but she has no regrets. Some of the ladies are furious that Celia spoke out of turn. Aminat and Teyona scold Celia and Allison for supporting Celia's actions. The ladies are fairly split with whether or not they think Tahlia should continue on in the competition.

Tyra mail arrives that tells the ladies to cut it out and she doesn't want to see any blank faces. The ladies meet with Jay who is surrounded by faceless mannequins. He tells them that the mannequins are just clothes hangers, which is not what models want to be called in the fashion world. He then brings out Beth Stern to give the ladies tips on facial expressions. Jay then unveils photos of Tyra with the face cut out. He tells them that they will have to pick two of the photos to put their face through and convey facial expressions. Natalie and London are the only two who successfully capture Tyra's expressions. Jay gathers the ladies together and announces that Natalie is the winner and her reward is to get 50% more frames at the next photo shoot.

The ladies return home and get Tyra mail that says they are looking pale and need color. Tahlia sits down with Celia and tells her that she felt humiliated. Celia says she didn't want to hurt her, she just wanted Tyra to know what was going on. Celia tells Tahlia not to worry because she's sure Tyra is going to send her home. The ladies are then driven to their next photo shoot. Jay tells them that they will have a colored powder splashed on their face and they will have to emote that color. The ladies return home and get Tyra mail that tells them someone will be eliminated at judges table. Celia tries extra hard when she picks out her outfit because she truly believes she will be sent home.

The contestants meet with the judges and receive their criticisms for their shots. The judges then deliberate and make their decision of who should go home. The ladies return and Tyra calls Fo forward, telling her she had the best shot of the group. Teyona is next, followed by Tahlia, Aminat, Allison, Natalie, and London, leaving Sandra and Celia. Tyra tells Sandra that she always takes profile shots and when she had to take a head on shot, she failed. Tyra tells Celia that she takes strong photos, but due to her outburst last week, the judges think she doesn't have what it takes to be a Top Model. Tyra tells Celia that she hopes she learned her lesson, then announces that she can stay. Sandra is told that she has to pack her things and go.

I'm not really surprised that Tyra decided to let Celia stay. This show is always helped by drama and Celia definitely has created some. Honestly, though, I thought the judges were going to send Natalie home. What did you think about the decision? Post your thoughts below.
